Update

Unfortunately I don't have the best news to report. We went to the Dr. Today for our 1st ultrasound and everything seemed fine, heartrate was 170's and the baby was twitching, very cute. I think its a girl. Toward the end of the US, the technician shared a concern she had. There was an area behind the baby's head that she called "very prominent." She said that that area being that way indicates a chromosome abnormality (i.e. down syndrome). So then I saw my Dr. and she said we just need to not jump to conclusions, but we need to see a specialist at the 11week mark to run more tests and get more information. Then she told me my bloodpressure was too high and we needed to check it again - at this point I lost it. She said she was sorry that she didn't have better news for us. They did take my blood pressure again and it was back to normal, I think I was really stressed about getting to the apt. b/c traffic and parking were a nightmare at this location. So I told Cory that for the next 7 months DO NOT argue with me about anything b/c obviously I stress over minor things.

Sorry if I don't call some people but it is really hard to talk without crying.

I'm praying for you. I will tell you that I've heard of people who were told that their child would have down syndrome, but when the child was born - he/she was perfectly fine. Stay strong - God doesn't give us anything we can't handle.

Sorry you didn;t have the best of news. I have heard concerns before as well and the girls all came out fine. So don't stress too much. I would think with a 170 heart rate you are having a girl.
I'll be praying for you all.

Hi Kimberly. I just wanted to share a motivating story with you. A family friend was told while she was pregnant that her little boy had down syndrome and he was born perfectly fine. Doctors don't know everything. I will be praying for you!!!

Hey Kimberly! I know how it feels to be overwhelmed with being pregnant...and excited about it and then to even "think" that something may not be ok. Just try to relax and remember that God is in control. He holds all of this in His hands. I will pray that your minds will be put to ease. Keep us posted!!

Kimberly, we are keeping you and little one in our prayers. I have had 4 very troubled pregnancies, so I certainly know the stress you are dealing with. Remind yourself daily that while you are using a doctor to monitor your progress, you are using a mighty God to get you through this pregnancy..and His will is always perfect, He is the only one who already sees the end!

First of all I want to tell you congratulations. You will make a wonderful mother.

Also, I know that is a hard pill to swallow and you will not know for sure until the baby is born, but I work with children with Downs Syndrome and other chromosomal disorders and they are such amazing children! So just know that no matter what, you are going to have this amazing baby that will bring so much joy to your life.

I will pray for you and I am here for you.
