8 weeks

Today should mark 8 weeks. I feel as though I am 20+ weeks. I can barely hold my belly in and my pants are so tight. It sucks because it is not even close to time for maternity clothes. No symptom changes lately, still very much exhausted after doing very little, and I always want to be at home in the bed. Work is very very very slow, so this makes me even more tired. I decided to take Friday off and get some more rest since we are off Thursday for New Year's Day. Still hate meal time b/c its so hard to just eat, there is SO much thaught and nausea involved. Nothing ever sounds good and I get tired of stuff easily. I had gained 7 pounds since I found out I was pregnant, but then lost 3 over the weekend - Holiday Food-yuck! I ate a lot of cheerios and pretzels. Can't wait for the Dr. Apt. next week!

Motherhood has these great things called "belly bands". They look like a tube top, you wear over the top of your pants so you can leave them unbuttoned. I did those until maternity pants were totally necessary!! :o)

I understand your sickness, I was sick from week 4-13 EVERYDAY! Nothing sounded good, nothing tasted good, all I wanted to do was sleep, it has gotten better since week 14, but, the Dr said I may of been soo sick because I am having twins!!!! I was totally not prepared for that! LOL I hope you get better soon!

I suggest the belly band as well. I wore one with my regular pants until I was about 6 or 7 months. They are great! Based on my research (asking firends and then comparing answers), it sounds as though you may be having a girl! Everyone I know who had girls were VERY sick and those who had boys (including myself), were not sick a day...who knows?! Everyone is different. Good luck with the sickness. Oh and being tired, that goes away around the 2nd trimester, you will have more energy than you know what to do with, but then towards the end, all you want to do is SLEEP!! Enjoy every minute. There is nothing like being pregnant!!!

I guess I have to be one of the very few who had boys who were VERY Sick!! I was sooooooooo sick with both of mine. Someone suggested to me that I smell a fresh lemon in the morning when I got up sick and beleive it or not, it actually helped me.
